Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls trip! We finally went last wednesday! opps it's already passed one week but I can only blog it now. It's one of the 7th Wonders of The World, in case you don't know haha.. Well initially I admit that it didn't cross my mind at all to visit the place. But everyone was buggin me :" If you didn't go for this in USA, it's like going to Egypt without seeing the Pyramids!" hmm.. very true..

So, we commence on our 9 hour road trip endeavour early in the morning. We could have reached in 6-7 hours, but as we stopped for a hearty lunch at Friendly's. It's just another westeran restaurant in Singapore. However, when you are slogging here in USA with not much cash, this meal is a big big deal ! (from the photo, I think Wenlie must really cut his hair haha)

The day view of the falls.. It's simply captivating. I have seen numerous mountains, falls, canals, rivers and all these natural landscapes since I was very young, thanks to my dad who loves to travel (esp China). This is really unlike any others. It's so peaceful yet it's able to stir up your excitement from within.

This is just the starter, wait till you see the night view and when you actually touch the holy water! hahahaha




Every night the will have laser lightings for the falls. Too bad we are at the USA side, as the most magnificent view is from the Canadian side. You can see the whole Niagara Falls. Haa okok, the only way to console ourselves is that we are at the origin of the falls!! Isn't it beautiful? I think the photo looks much better than real-life actually. On that day we saw a group of S'poreans working at Morey's Pier too.

At night, the rest went to casino for a couple of rounds. But the couple of rounds turned out to be an entire night of sleepless-playing. Haa Wenlie lost money, while Philip won a little.

That's all for the first night, I'll blog again about the next day soon. I was sooo unlucky! My camera actually failed the very next day. It was still functionally perfectly the night and it just screwed up the next morning! Oh my god!! It spoil exactly on the day I went for a trip. KANASAI !! The shutter wouldn't shut so every photo is over-exposed. Dammit. All I can do is take videos. When I went home and try to use it again, it works.... duh
